European Youth Go Championships 2019: Tournament Details

The championship is open to junior players of all European nationalities.
Players must have passport of EGF member-countries and not just be residents in a European country.

There will be 6 rounds in the Championships – two on Thursday (May, 2), two on Friday (May, 3) and two on Saturday (May, 4).

The Championship will be split into 3 age groups:
Under 12, Under 16 and Under 20.

Age groups Under 12 and Under 16 are based on age at 31st August 2019 (U12 born 01/09/2007 or later, U16 born 01/09/2003 or later).

Age group Under 20 is based on age at 1st January 2019 (U20 born 02/01/1999 or later).

The Under 12 and Under 16 Championships will each be held as a McMahon system, with a Championship super group. The super group will contain not more than 16 players with the highest EGF rating (on May 1, 2019).
Time limits are 60 minutes per player, 30 sec additional time per move (3 periods), Japanese rules with the EGF Tournaments Rules regulations.
Placement criteria: MMS, SOS, SODOS.

The Under 20 group will be a Swiss system.
